The Piwakawaka is a family-friendly, family-owned restaurant and bar where you are welcome to come and enjoy a drink, a delicious meal or both.

Bringing a mixture of dining choices that are all made with high-quality products. We have done extensive research (and our bellies are showing it) to ensure we are sourcing our meats, seafood and vegetables from quality suppliers who care about what they provide as we do about what we present on your plate. 

Our venue offers choices not only in food but also in the environment. Whether it be dining in our restaurant, having a drink and a snack in our bar area or sitting outside enjoying the fine summer weather (let’s be honest that could be a stretch on an occasional day in Wellington) at one of our outdoor tables or leaners, the choice is yours.

We also offer a fully serviced function room for uses such as business conferences, birthday parties, wedding receptions and even wakes.
